The excitement accumulates by the riotous shouts of Olé! Friends, meet Penelope, the famous Andalusian flamenco dancer with her typical flamenco dress in bright colors and lots of volume! She does what she does best, performs in Tablaos, offering spectacular, highly choreographed extravaganzas of pure dance. For many, the joy of watching Penelope is seeing her emotions, her energy and her expressions played through her dance. Flamenco is not only about music, it’s about tradition and continuing with an ancient tradition passed down.
“In memory of my wonderful time lived in Spain, country that taught me to love to explore, dream and discover magical places that live deep within me.”
Handmade with much love and attention to detail, Penelope’s facial features are completely hand embroidered. Her brown hair is made of yarn that has been hand braided and stitched into place. She wears a hand tailored dress, consisting of a black sequined top and a printed black lace skirt sewn to the doll’s body, therefore not removable. She comes along wearing sewn undies and even has a hand embroidered belly button!
